French Wigmaker Trade Sign New Orleans JM - 011823 - 105596Painted double sided advertising sign for a wigmaker (perruquier), likely named Perroux Chapellier as both are known French names. This particular tradesman likely also performed barber's duties as most wigmakers did during the turn of the century, hence the grooming equipment also shown on the sign. This piece features heavily crazed paint on an aluminum or steel sign with two small hanging mounts on the top. The reverse side of the sign also
